But today to reinforce this truth, we had a visit from Dao Sul winemaker Lucia Freitas, wine writer Luis Lopes, and Chef Luis Americo, one of Portugual's rising stars and winner of the 2004 Chef of the Year award. This team from the Iberian peninsula is making a tour of the USA, talking wine, gastronomy and terroir with all who care to learn - and taste - what Portuguese wines have to offer the world.
