A Day in the Life of Ball Square's Wine Buying Team - on T.V.!

How do we, the wine buying team at Ball Square Fine Wines, decide which wines (amongst the tens of thousands available in Massachusetts) to stock in our store?  The folks at French Oak T.V. were curious enough about that question they decided to come by on one of our "Tasting Tuesdays" and capture the process on video. Take a look behind the scenes in this professionally produced "reality T.V." program featuring Rebecca and I doing the "dirty job that someone has to do" - tasting wine. See how we interact with our vendors! Learn why some wines make the cut while others don't! A night at The Tasting Station

Have you ever met wine pro, Angus Smith? He works for a nerdy, boutique importer of the finest wines from around the globe called Vineyard Road. We were thrilled when Angus entered our lives here at Ball Square, as he is also one of the most charismatic, entertaining humans to roam planet earth. (Sometimes we wonder, in fact, if planet Earth is really where he comes from.)

Fortunately Angus' wine lexicon is in English. He informs with enthusiasm and humor like no other. Meanwhile, he gets that everyone's palate is different and works hard to help folks tap into what it is they are tasting. In short, he speaks "Ball Square Fine Wines-ean". 

If you missed Angus last Friday night or (frightening!)  have never attended one of our free Friday night wine tastings (every week from 4:30 - 7:30pm), then check out the video below to get a sample of what our Tasting Station brings to bear.
