There is more to Beaujolais than Nouveau! Here is the opposite end of the spectrum. Serious red wine made from the Gamay grape in the "cru" village of Chiroubles. The tell-tale elements of Gamay are all here - brilliant pure purple color, aromas of crushed berries and a lip-smacking tangy acidity. But there is an extra layer of darker fruit and an echo of warm earth that makes for a fully satisfying red wine experience. Good juice indeed!
