Dr. Hermann Urziger Wurzgarten Kabinett 2010 - Many of you may be familiar with the light and pleasantly fruity Rieslings from Germany that have made the category such a success. This wine shows you another side of that coin. This is serious juice. Wurzgarten translates to "spice garden" and one can see why the vineyard was named as such. Aromas and flavors of wet stone, petrol and savory spices intermingle with rich and concentrated but subdued stone fruit flavors. The finish is dry and long. This wine is best suited to be sipped and savored without the intrusion of food. Salut!
