Santa Carolina RSV Chardonnay 2009 Chardonnay can be a polarizing topic. For some it's the only wine they'll ever need, for others it's ABC (anything but Chardonnay!). We think we may have found a wine that can bring us together- around the table, across the aisle or anywhere else. Santa Carolina has fashioned a well balanced and refreshing white wine that offers generous fruit flavors with just a touch of creaminess. Ripe pears and yellow apple are given an air of luxury by a hint of vanilla and toast on the finish. The key is that this wine has good "zip" which keeps it from feeling too heavy or ponderous and brings the glass back to the lips for another sip. The bottom line is that this is a great all purpose white to keep in the cold box. As an added "green" bonus, Santa Carolina is a certified carbon neutral winery. Nice! Pairing: Seafood, Salads, Broccoli and Cheddar quiche
